# CVP South-of-Delta Ag Revised to 28%, M&I to 78%

CVP South-of-Delta agricultural allocation was revised to **28%** from 25% in a Bureau of Reclamation announcement Aug. 11. Municipal & industrial contracts moved to **78%** from 75% in the same update. Both revisions cover water service and repayment contractors.

- **Blue Mesa Reservoir** (Bureau of Reclamation) fell to 201,675 af, down 6% week over week and 58% below the 5-year median.
- **Elephant Butte Reservoir** (Bureau of Reclamation) held near flat at 27,278 af, up 1% on the week and 72% below the 5-year median.
- **Bear River basin** (USGS) ran at 566 cfs, up 172% week over week and 184% above the 5-year median.
- **Dolores River** (USGS) bounced to 15 cfs, up 138% on the week, but sits 89% below the 5-year median and is the furthest below normal of any tracked gauge.
- **Colorado drought** covered 91% of state area in D1 or worse, down 2 points on the week but 54 points above the 5-year median (US Drought Monitor).
- **Kings, Kern and Fresno counties** (California) each showed 0% drought coverage (US Drought Monitor), 99, 52 and 38 points respectively below their 5-year medians.

**Current allocations:** CVP South-of-Delta ag 28%, M&I 78% (Bureau of Reclamation, revised Aug. 11). CVP North-of-Delta irrigation 100% (announced Feb. 26). SWP statewide 45% (Department of Water Resources, announced May 1).
